Yellow Claw and Steve Aoki Headline RELEASE this Memorial Day Weekend
SALT RIVER PIMA MARICOPA INDIAN COMMUNITY, Ariz.  Talking Stick Resort continues the 2019 RELEASE pool party season with a two-day weekend event. Iconic DJs Yellow Claw and Steve Aoki will headline the parties this Memorial Day weekend on May 25 and May 26 .


Formed in 2010 by DJs Jim Aasgier, Nizzle and MC Bizzey, Yellow Claw made their name by hosting parties in Amsterdam. The trio is known to be a party concept group with their cutting-edge interaction with the audience amplified with sounds from various genres. In 2017, Yellow Claw released the album, “Los Amsterdam,” which includes singles “Open,” “Good Day” and “Love & War.” Moreover, the trio has made official remixes for such names as Tiesto, Iggy Azalea, Martin Garrix, Headhunterz, Showtek and Major Lazer.
Opening for Yellow Claw is Toronto based DJ and producer, Grandtheft. Considered a global headliner in his right, Grandtheft has delivered notable remixes of a number of radio’s biggest tracks. Among the Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money”, Calvin Harris’ “Summer” and Katy Perry’s “This Is How We Do.” Grandtheft wrapped up 2018 going back to his trap roots with his Deadbeats release “Jackson Pollock.”
Steve Aoki is an electronic dance music producer and award-winning DJ. He built his brand around raucous live sets, high profile remixes and collaborations. His official debut album, “Wonderland” received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album in 2013, while subsequent releases remained a steady presence in the U.S. Dance chart Top Five, including a pair of chart-toppers with “Neon Future, Vol. 1” and “Neon Future, Vol. 3.” The 2014 release marketed as a two-part record, topping the Billboard Dance chart with the help of guests such as Fall Out Boy and Waka Flocka Flame. The “Neon Future, Vol. 2” followed in 2015 with appearances from Rivers Cuomo, Snoop Dogg and J.J. Abrams.
Opening for Aoki is Lost Kings, an American DJ duo consisting of Robert Abisi and Nick Shanholtz, based in Los Angeles. The duo gained popularity beginning in 2014 through their official remixes for artists such as Krewella, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Vance Joy, Echosmith, Rihanna, Tori Kelly, and through their original EDM/progressive house music. In 2017, they released “Look At Us Now” as a single featuring singer Ally Brooke and rapper ASAP Ferg.
